Day 2, BEIJING A full free day. Optional day trip to a little visited section of the Great Wall of China, one of China's most magnificent sights, with the chance to take a 3-5 hour hike along it.
The Great Wall of China is the longest structure ever built. It is about 4,000 miles long, and it was built entirely by hand. About 1, 200 - 1, 500 miles of the Great Wall were built during the reign of Emperor Shi Huangdi (Qin Dynasty). The Great Wall crosses northern China from the east coast to the central part of China.
Day 3, BEIJING Time to explore the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and other highlights of Beijing before we take the overnight train to Xi'an.
TianAnMen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.
Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.
Day 4, XI'AN Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Optional excursion to the Terracotta Warriors by public bus. These form part of the tomb of
Qin Shi Huang, China's first emperor, and date back over 2,000 years!
The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
Day 5, XI'AN - NANJING Free day to explore Xi'an before catching the overnight train to Nanjing. 
Day 6, NANJING Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Free day in Nanjing, home to the mausoleum of Sun Yat Sen, the 'father' of modern China. In the evening, perhaps visit the lively Fuzi Mao markets and sample some of the delicious food on offer.
Day 7, NANJING - HANGZHOU A short train ride takes us to the picturesque city of Hangzhou, full of lakes, hills and temples. Free afternoon. Recommend to visit Lingyin Temple, Feilai Peak, Six Harmonies Pagoda.
Day 8, HANGZHOU A full free day. Optional bike ride out to the famous tea plantations of Longjing.
Day 9, HANGZHOU - SHANGHAI We take the morning train to Shanghai where the rest of the day is free to explore this cosmopolitan city with its lavish colonial buildings, futuristic TV tower.
Day 10, SHANGHAI A full free day. Recommend to visit the Visit Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market & The Bund
Day 11, SHANGHAI - YANGSHUO Fly to Guilin and transfer to the small market town of Yangshuo, located in the midst of some of China's most spectacular scenery.
Days 12-13 YANGSHUO Plenty of time to enjoy this amazing town and the picturesque countryside that surrounds it. You can hire a bik
e to go off exploring, visit one of the many cave complexes that are found deep in the hills, take a tai'chi lesson.
Yangshuo, the natural scenery features unique karst hills, crystal water, exquisite stones and intricate caves as well as a cultural historic heritage and folks of diverse customs. At night, have fun on the West Street, don't drink too much to miss tomorrow's program. Or you can go to watch the envening show - Impression Liu Sanjie. The Cormorant fishing show at night is also something new (optional).
Day 14, GUANGZHOU (CANTON) Arrive and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Day 15, GUANGZHOU Tour ends
