Day 1
Arrival / Urumqi
Arrival in Urumqi, Urumqi is a lively metropolis with a long historical background (it served as a main entry for those crossing into Central Asia).
Urumqi, a name inherited from Magician language meaning beautiful pasture, now serves as the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region. Among China's 55 ethnic communities, there are 47 living in Xinjiang. This makes Xinjinag a best place to study rich folklore and customs. A day trip to Nanshan to visit Kazak villages and farms, enjoy magnificent dinner show at Grand International Bazaar.

Beitun / Buerjin / Kanasi
Drive 400 km to Kanasi. Along the way you can view some beautiful sceneries, then we will have a rest when we arrive at the hotel.

Visit Kanasi Lake. As one of the most beautiful sceneries in China, Kanasi Lake is very famous. The color changing water with the mystery monster and some original forests maybe your favorite.

Kanasi / Karamayi
Drive 650 km to Karamayi. It is a important point for you to have an acquaintance of the development of Chinese petroleum industry. Visit Ghost City, it is a special work of nature, some rocks were carved into deferent figures like castle, animals etc. by the wind.

Karamayi / Kuitun / Bayinbuluke / Koral
Total driving disctance is 620 km. You will pass through a vast pastureland, near this pasture it is a preserved area of the white swan. Koral is a wonderful city with the Peacock river flows through the center of it.

Koral / Kuche
Total driving distance is 380 km. Driving along the way you can have a whole view of the Bostan Lake from a distance, the biggest fresh-water lake in inland china and one of important fishery basement in Xinjiang. Visit Tiemen Pass, it should be a very important military point on the silk road in the ancient dynasty.

Drive 320 km to Aksu, visit Kezil Thousand Buddha caves, one of the oldest Buddhist center in China.

Kashgar. Visit Idgar Mosque, the biggest one in all the Xinjiang Region, It has the central dome and flanking minarets which Westerners usually associated with a mosque.
Kashgar, an oasis city still evocative of its long period as a key port of call on the Silk Road. A visit to Kashgar is very much about walking the streets, visiting the bazaars, restaurants and tea houses and meeting the locals. We arrive in time for the amazing the biggest bazaar in Middle Asia and experience the magic of colours and cultures, trading as they have done for centuries.
Visit Abakh Hoja Tomb, the burial place of a Muslim missionary and saint, and his 72 descendants. It looks like a multicolored miniature with green tiles on the walls and dome. Visit Old city, here you can get a view of traditional Uighur living place and customs.

Kashagr / Hotan
Drive 580 km to Hotanvisit some simple villages with Uighur residents.

Drive 480 km to Turpan. As a quiet oasis city, Turpan was an important staging post on the silk road and was a center of Buddhism before converted to Islam in the 8th century. There are also some kinds of delicious fruit in this hottest.

Jiaohe ancient city: It is famous as one of the best preserved ancient cities in all of the world, the ruins was established by the Chinese as a garrison town to defend the borderlands during the Han Dynasty.
Karaz well: These underground channels rate as one of ancient Chinas greatest public works projects as the Great Wall and the Grand Canal. The city of Turpan owes its existence to these vital wells and channels, some of which were constructed over 2000 years ago.
Sugong tower: It is designed in a simple Afghani style and was built in 1777 AD by a local ruler in order to show the impressive memories of his fathers contribution to Qing government. Grape valley The small paradise, a thick maze of vines and grape trellises, is located at the foot of the Flaming Mountain, there are more than 10 kinds of grapes in the area.

Turpan / Dunhuang
Visit Gaochang ancient city, It was the capital of Uighurs when they moved into the Xinjiang Region from Mongolia in the 9th century. Tuyugou valley, a quiet town for the Uighur minority with some Buddha Grottos and a mausoleum of Muslim saints. Visit a local Uighur family ,then take evening train to Dunhuang

The real attraction of this region is the spectacular Mogao Caves. It is the home to some of the most stunning ancient Buddhist cave art in existence and the birthplace of Chinese Buddhism. Created over a period of more than ten centuries and dating back to 366AD, the Mogao Caves have been largely preserved because of the low humidity in the region and because they were abandoned for centuries.
Dunhuang, Mogao caves, a great Buddhist Grottos which were carved in 3rd century. The wonderful frescos and Buddha sutras were preserved very well. Minsha mountain and Crescent Moon Lake, where the oasis meets the desert. The spring-fed lake is set amidst towering sand dunes from where you can take in a spectacular view of the green oasis surrounded by an endless desert landscape.

Dunhuang / Jiayuguan / Jinta / Jiuquan
Visit Jiayuguan Great wall ,it was built in 14th century during the Ming Dynasty.
The Jiayuguan region formed China's western boundary during the Ming Dynasty period. The desert landscape in this area is incredible with snow-capped mountain peaks visible in the distance. We visit remote remnants of the Great Wall as well as the ancient frontier Jiayuguan Pass Fort.

Jiuquan / Ejinaqi / Shandan / Zhangye
The total driving distance is 540 km today, arrive at Zhangye, it was once an important garrison town and a stop on the Silk Road.

Xiahe / Binling Temple / Lanzhou
Drive 580 km to Lanzhou. On the way, visit Binling Temple , this set of Buddhist grottoes is one of most unusual sights in Gansu. Here in the caves there are hundreds of statues and dozens of clay sculptures and frescos.
Lanzhou, capital of the vast Gansu province, was an important transportation hub and garrison on the Silk Road and is a fascinating town to explore. Whilst there we visit the Yellow River, Five Springs Park, and the 2000 metre high chairlift for Santai Pavilion with great views across this bustling town.
