Day 1 (B, L, )
Lijiang
Arrive at Lijiang airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to hotel. Visit the old town of Lijiang, escorted tour to Square Street, Mu Prince Mansion.

The Lijiang ancient town of Dayan: The town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997.

Day 2 (B, L,D )
Lijiang / Daju
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow, the old house of Joseph Rock, who stayed in Lijiang for 27 years from 1922 to 1949.  Drive for 2 and a half hours to Daju Town and stay overnight here.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The mountain has 13 peaks of which the highest is 18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare animals.

Joseph Rock: lived in a village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for 27 years from 1922 to 1949, left us thousands of photoes and articles of the culture in this area.

Day 3 (B, L, D)
Daju / Tiger Leaping Gorge / Middle Gorge
Start your hikking trip from Daju Town, and your hiking tour starts here. Visit the famous Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge, the toal hiking journey today is 36 km.

Walk down the mountain through trails for 2 km (about 1 hour) to a small ferry, cross the river by boat, climb up 3.5 km for 2 hours and arrive Yongke Village which is located at Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge, continue your walk after a simple lunch break.

After lunch, 2 more hours walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River, worship the dangerours shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River.  Stay overnight in Tina's Inn.

The Tiger Leaping Gorge: one of the world's four great gorges - is located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County,is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the globe.

Day 4 (B, L,D )
Middle Gorge / Baishui Terrace/Zhongdian
Drive to Zhongdian, one the way, we will stop and visit Baidi Village which  is famous for Naxi folk culture and Baishui Terrace. 

Baishui Terrace: At the foot of the Haba Snow Mountain is the mysterious White Field, also called Baishuitai, birthplace of the Naxi ethnic minority Dongba Culture.

Day 5 (B, L, ) 
Zhongdian
Drive to visit Shudu lake and Bita Lake in the morning, visit Tibetan Family in the afternoon.

Shudu lake, at an altitude of 3,266 meters above sea level, is located 8 kilometers northwest of the county seat of Zhongdian. It has the largest grassland in Zhongdian, surrounded by mountains on three sides.

Join in the morning class at Songtseling Lamasery Temple. Free time at old town of Zhongdian.

Songzanlin Monastery, or 'Little Potala' as it is affectionately known, is a spiritual place that invites you to discover the mystery and traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.

Zhongdian / Kunming
Transfer via: air
Transfer to airport for your flight to Kunming. Upon arrival, be met & transferred to your hotel in Stone Forest, about 90 km from Downtown Kunming. enjoy the beautiful surroundings while the crowd of visitors do not disturb you. 

Stone Forest is located in Shilin County, 89 kilometers from Kunming. The area, covering 350 square kilometers, is the highest karst terrain in the world and a national scenic area in China.

Kunming/Depart
Morning visit to Flower Market, Golden Temple. Transfer to airport for return flight.

Notice: The raining season in Zhongdian, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Lujiang and Lijian g is from late May to early September, roads might be block by mountain slide and falling rocks.  The best traveling time for our trekking tour is from October to April.

In case of bad weather condition or road difficulties, the original itinerary which has been confirmed by us might has to be changed accordingly by our local tour guide, or even the whole trip could be cancelled eventually.   Please trust the judgement of our expienced tour guide, they are the expert and have escored trekking trips for years.
