Day 1
Arrival / Lijiang
Arrive at Lijiang airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to hotel. Visit the old town of Lijiang, escorted tour to Square Street.

The Lijiang ancient town of Dayan: The town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997.

Day 2 (B, L, D )
Lijiang / Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge
At 6:00, drive to Qiaotou Town, it takes 2 hours on the trip.  Your hiking trip starts from here, the 28 zigzaging turns will be a real text.   The total trekking route is 28 km, and it takes about 6-8 hours. You will arrive at Half-Way Guest House to finish today's trekking.

While you are walking in the gorge, our support team will take all of your luggaes to meet you at Tina's Inn, so you only need to carry two bottles of water, chocalate and camera on the trip.   

The Tiger Leaping Gorge: one of the world's four great gorges - is located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County, is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the globe.

Day 3 (B, L, D )
Tiger Leaping Gorge 
In the early morning, continue hiking to Tina's Inn, after lunch break, 1 hour walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River, worship the dangerours shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River. 1 more hour to climb up the gorge.

Drive for about 20 km to Haba village, the sacred land of Naxi Dongba Culture.

Day 4 (B, L, )
Haba Snow Mountain
With local people's help, trek up the Haba Snow Mountain for about 5 hours, then build your Base Camp at a suitable place about 3800 m above sea level.

The Haba Mountain, its main peak 5,396 metres in height, stands 120 kilometres to the southeast of the seat of Zhongdian County. And its domain of 21,908 hectares, covered with a vertical distribution of forests, is rich in wildlife and plant resources.

Day 5 (B, L )
Haba Snow Mountain
In the morning, hike to the nearby lakes to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After picnic lunch, move up to a higher place (about 4200 m) to build your Camp 1.

Up the Haba, there are 3 beautiful lakes which are surrounded by colorful flowers in spring time. In 1995, our travel company in Yunnan organized a group climbed to the top of the Haba Snow Mt.. From our experience, we believe this mountain is an ideal place for travelers who want to practice mountaineering skills.

Day 6 (B, L )
Haba Snow Mountain
If the weather is good, try to reach the top of the snow mountain(5396 m). If the weather is not good, you also can try to get as high as possible. Overnight in Camp 1.

Day 7 (B, L )
Haba Snow Mountain
Today, if the weather turns good, you have another chance to try to reach the top, then trek down to Base Camp and overnight there.

Day 8 (B, L )
Haba Snow Mountain
Trek down to Haba Village, then drive back through the Tiger-leaping Gorge to Lijiang,

Day 9 (B, L )
Lijiang / Depart
Visit Yuhu Village, a village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, where Mr Joseph Rock, a famous Russian Scientist lived for 27 years from 1922 to 1949, enjoy hundreds of photoes and articles of the culture in this area .

Transfer to airport for return flight.  Check the flight available to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou.

Notice: The raining season in Zhongdian, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Lijiang is from late May to early September, roads might be block by mountain slide and falling rocks.  The best traveling time for our trekking tour is from October to April.

In case of bad weather condition or road difficulties, the original itinerary which has been confirmed by us might has to be changed accordingly by our local tour guide, or even the whole trip could be cancelled eventually.   Please trust the judgement of our expienced tour guide, they are the expert and have escored trekking trips for years.
