Itinerary:

Day 1
Arrival / Guangzhou
Transfer via: by air-booked by yourself
Program: Upon arrival at the airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel.

Day 2
Guangzhou / Changsha
Transfer via: by train for soft seat (G trains, about 2.5 hours)
Program: Chen Clan Temple, Nanyue King Museum, Six Banyan Temple, Yuexiu Park, Qingping Market, Shamian Island. Transfer to train station for the train to Changsha. Be met and drive to the hotel.

The Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family: Built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, is the largest, best preserved, and best decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province.

Day 3
Changsha / Shaoshan / Changsha
Program: Drive to visit the Yuelu Academy of Classical Learning, the Hunan Provincial Museum which presenting 3,000 cultural relics and a well-known female corpse. Afterwards, drive for 2 hours to Shaoshan city, located in Hunan Province, to visit the Former Resident of Chairman Mao and the Dripping Water Cave. After the tour, drive back to Changsha.

Day 4
Changsha / Changde / Changsha
Program: After breakfast, drive for 2.5 hours to Taohuayuan in Changde City, Hunan Province. Visit the Taohuayuan National Park. After the tour, drive back to Changsha.

Day 5
Changsha / Wuchang / Wuhan
Transfer via: by train for soft seat (G trains, about 1.5 hours)
Program: Morning tour to the Hunan Number One Normal University where Chairman Mao once studied. Later transferred to Changsha railway station for the train to Wuchang. Be met and drive to visit the Yellow Crane Pavillion.

Yellow Crane Tower: facing Yangtze River to the north and the downtown area of Wuhan on the rest of the sides, the tower is both an ideal place to see the spectacular sights and an inspirational source for poets and celebrities alike. This building is regarded as one of the three most famous ancient terraces in China.

Day 6
Wuhan / Hankou / Nanjing
Transfer via: by train for soft seat (D trains, about 3.5 hours)
Program: Tour to Hubei Provincial Museum, East Lake, Heptachord Terrace and Guiyuan Buddhist Temple. Transferred to Hankou railway station for the train to Nanjing. Be met and drive to the hotel.

Day 7
Nanjing
Program: Full day tours to visit Dr. Sun Yixian (Sun Yat-sen) Mausoleum, Yangtze River Bridge, The Zhonghua Gate, Confucius Temple, Qinhuai river.

Dr. Sun Yixian (Sun Yat-sen) Mausoleum: The building was designed to be more impressive than those of the emperors whom the father of the Chinese republic overthrew. The mausoleum, 158 meters above sea level, has 392 steps and a five-meter-high statue, and is well worth visiting.

Yangtze River Bridge: Built in 1968, it is the first bridge over the Yangtze River designed by Chinese architect. The Bridge overcomes the Yangtze River barrier and carries four traffic lanes with land and rail traffic.

Zhonghua Gate: Zhonghua Gate, means Chinese gate, was the biggest and most splendid city gate of Nanjing city wall in the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644).

Confucian Temple: It is for consecrating and worshipping Confucius, the great thinker and educator of ancient China.

Qinhuai River: It is the branch of the Yangtze River. The inner river of the river used to be the most flourishing place of Nanjing since it was the red-light district famous throughout the nation. Painted boats shuttled to and fro and music sounded all night. Many love affairs and romances spread from here.

More of an imposing fortress than a mere gate, the remarkably well preserved Zhonghua Gate is just as striking today as it was centuries ago, and is one of the best preserved Ming Dynasty fortresses in all of China. The gate was designed in the form of a series of closed courtyards. If the enemy broke through the outer gate, they would be trapped in the first courtyard. They would have to break through not only the main gate, but three successive courtyards before they could enter the city, all the while being attacked from the ramparts above.

Day 8
Nanjing / Yangzhou
Transfer via: by train for soft seat K8502 (08:35/09:52)
Program: After breakfast in early morning, transferred to Nanjing railway station for the train to Yangzhou. Upon arrival at Yangzhou railway station, be met and transferred to visit the Slender Weat Lake, the Salt Trader's Residence (Ge Garden) and the Han Tomb.

Day 9
Yangzhou / Suzhou
Transfer via: by express bus
Program: After breakfast, transferred to Yangzhou bus station for the bus to Suzhou. Upon arrival at the railway station, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to visit the Tiger Hill (huqiu), Panmen City Gate, Lingering Garden, Silk Museum.

Tiger Hill (Huqiu): It is the most famous sight in Suzhou city, enjoying the reputation of "The first scenic spot in Wu area" by its imposing beauty, including Leisure Spring, Testing Sword Rock, Third Spring, Broken-Pillar-Hall and Mountain Villa Wrapped in Emerald Green etc. With only 36 meters high and an area of 20hectares, you might think it is an an artificial hill, but its history can be traced back to 2500 years ago.

Panmen City Gate: It is the oldest city gate in existence in Suzhou city. It used to be one of the eight city gates during the Spring & Autumn Annals (770-476 BC) when Suzhou was the capital of the Wu Kindom. The current gate was reconstructed in 1351. It consists of Water and Land Gates, city gate tower and city walls at both sides.

Lingering Garden: Shouzhou is famouse for its the Gardens. Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Linging in the garden you would marver this unique architecture art.

Day 10
Suzhou / Hangzhou
Transfer via: by express bus
Program: Tongli water village. Transfer to bus station for the bus to Hangzhou, Upon arrival at the bus station, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel.

Tongli: Tongli town has a history of more than one thousand years. There are over hundreds of gardens established in Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty, temples, cartilages and former residence of eminent souls. Fifteen rivers divides the town into seven island and 49 sets of historic bridges connect the town as a whole.

Day 11
Hangzhou
Program: West Lake, Lingyin Temple, Feilai Peak, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Tea village.

West Lake: Lying on the west edge of Hangzhou city, West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China.

Lingyin Temple: commonly translated as "Temple of the Soul's Retreat" is one of the largest and wealthiest temples in China. It was originally founded in 326 AD, but has been rebuilt no less than sixteen times since then.

Six Harmony Pagoda: is Highly erected by the Qiantang River and to the south of the West Lake, it is a perfect symbol of brick-and-wood structure built in the ancient China. It was first built in 970 AD in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). The name "six harmonies" comes from the six Buddhist ordinances, meaning "harmonies of the heaven, earth, east, west, south and north".

Day 12
Hangzhou / Shanghai
Transfer via: by train for soft seat
Program: Transfer to train station for your train to next destination, Upon arrival at the railway station, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel. Leisure on your own at the rest of the day.

Day 13
Shanghai
Program: Free time for a whole day.
