Hiking Route: Mutianyu Great Wall (3 hours)
Pick-up at your hotel at 8:00am and then drive to Mutianyu (around 1.5 hours). Start to hike around 9:30am and the hiking takes about 3 hours. You will be rewarded with a delicious lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant after the hike. Later you will be escorted to your hotel.
Mutianyu Great Wall is not as crowded as the nearby Badaling Great Wall or Juyongguan Great Wall. This section, rising up and down is just like a huge flying dragon, is fully restored and there are hand rails to aid you up on the very steep parts. Standing on top of the wall allows for a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside, which is planted with fruit and chestnut orchards, and dotted with old pine. |
