Full day trip to the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Peking Opera Show in the evening.
 
TianAnMen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.
 
Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.
 
Temple of Heaven was built in the 15th century, a sacred site for ancient Beijing, where the emperor and his 1000 member entourage would retreat twice a year for religious ritual. Surrounded by enormous grounds designed in accordance with fengshshui, the Temple complex consists of the Celebrated Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, a unique wooden and blue-tiled structure built without a nail. It is considered the supreme achievement of traditional Chinese architecture.

Great Wall of China and Ming Tomb 

 
The Great Wall of China is the longest structure ever built. It is about 4,000 miles long, and it was built entirely by hand. About 1, 200 - 1, 500 miles of the Great Wall were built during the reign of Emperor Shi Huangdi (Qin Dynasty). The Great Wall crosses northern China from the east coast to the central part of China.
 
Visit the fabled Ming Tombs, the resting places of thirteen emperors and their splendid treasures, passing down the Spirit Way, a road lined with statues of dignitaries, as well as huge elephants, lions, camels and horses, you will encounter the marble tombs of the Ming Dynasty emperors. Visit one of the spectacular tombs- Dingling featuring an underground palace.

Morning Flight to Xi'an, City Tour to Ancient City Wall, Bell Tower, The Great Mosque.
 
Xian City Wall: Xian City Wall is a major landmark, and iis the best preserved, as well as the oldest and largest of the city defence systems in China. Bikes can be rented to ride along the top of the wall for about RMB20/hour.

Tour to Terra Cotta Warriors, Wild Goose Pagoda, transfer to Chengdu in the evening.
 
The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
 
The Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.

Visit Panda Breed Reserve to see Panda born in Nature.  Visit Sanxingdui relics.
Chengdu Panda Reserve is a place where you can see lovely Panda and even be a panda keeper.
 
Sanxingdui relics ia a historical discovery of the ruined city from 4000 years ago. The relics at Sanxingdui are precious cultural heritage of mankind, whick contain rich historical, cultural and scientific value. Thousands of pieces of invaluable relics such as bronze ware, jade ware, gold ware, pottery, and bone ware unearthed rewpectively from the Sanxingdui Ruins, the No. 1 sacrificial pit, and No.2 sacrificial pit of the Shang Dynasty (cir. 16th-11th century B.C.

Be picked you up at Lhasa airport and transfer to the hotel. Acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. The rest of day is at leisure.

Full day trip to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street.
 
The Potala Palace is a landmark of Lhasa and Lama Buddism. It is a 13 storey and 1000 rooms' palace and once winter residence of the Dalai Lama. The construction of the present structure began during the reign of the fifth Dalai Lama in 1645 and took more than 50 years to complete.
 
The Jokhang Temple is the spiritual centre of Tibet - a destination for millions of Tibetan pilgrims. The oldest part of the temple dates back to the 7th century AD - being one of the two temples built by King Songsten Gampo to house the statues of the Buddha that his two foreign wives brought to Tibet from China and Nepal.
 
The Barkhor Street is Lhasa's inner pilgrim circuit shaped roughly like an octagon that runs around the Jokhang. The circuit is lined with markets, shops, stalls and street vendors providing every conceivable item a Tibetan could need.  The best place to start the circuit is right outside the Jokhang in a clockwise direction.

Full day trip to Drepong Monastery, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka, and visit a local Tibetan family.
 
The Drepong Monastery:  a cluster of white buildings resembling a riceheap, against the backdrop of Mount Gyenbuwndze. Founded in 1416, Drepong is the biggest and richest monastery in Tibet that was divided into four Tantric colleges - that specialised in different branches of knowledge.
 
The Sera Monastery lies on the northern edge of Lhasa at the base of Tatipu Hill. 'Sera' means 'merciful hail' denoting its rivalry with the 'Rice Heap' (Drepong) since hail destroys rice. Sera was smaller than Drepong with about 7,000 monks but was very rich and comparable in power.
 
The Norbulingka Park: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama at the very beginning and later served as the whole governmental administration.

Be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kunming, Half Day city tour to East Tower or West Tower where you will see the local life, you may see local shops, seniors playing Chinese chess, also visit Birds and Flowers market where you may see birds, flowers and arts and crafts.

Full day tour of the Stone Forest, with a visit to Wukeshu Village local Sani minorities house (or Qixin village to see the Yi minorities village) on the way back with private van and guide.

Fly to Lijiang which has a large Naxi settlement first built about 8 centuries ago; you'll have a chance to hear Naxi ancient music, feel their rich culture and tradition, see their costume, house; Walk through Lijiang ancient town in the afternoon, enjoy ancient Naxi Music concert performed by Xuanke and his musician tonight.

Lijiang / Tiger Leaping Gorge
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow, the old house of Joseph Rock, who stayed in Lijiang for 27 years from 1922 to 1949.    Stay overnight at the local village of Daju Town.
 
The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The mountain has 13 peaks of which the highest is 18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare animals.
 
Joseph Rock: lived in a village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for 27 years from 1922 to 1949, left us thousands of photoes and articles of the culture in this area.

Tiger Leaping Gorge
Start your hikking trip from Daju Town, and your hiking tour starts here. Visit the famous Middle and Uper Tiger Leaping Gorge, the toal hiking journey today is 16 km.
 
The Tiger Leaping Gorge: one of the world's four great gorges - is located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County,is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the globe.
Walk down the mountain through trails for 2 km (about 1 hour) to a small ferry, cross the river by boat, climb up 3.5 km for 2 hours and arrive Yongke Village which is located at Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge, continue your walk after a simple lunch break.
 
After lunch, 2 more hours walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River, worship the dangerours shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River.

Lijiang / Kunming / Chongqing / On board Cruises
Transfer via: Flights
Be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kunming, upon arrival to Kunming, be met and be transferred for bus ride to Chongqing, after arriving Chongqing, be met and be transferred to your cruise.
 
Departure Chongqing at 23:00pm. If time permits, Half Day city tour to Erling Park to see the full view or Chongqing and visit a small museum (with a 100 meter long wall painting of the Three Gorges, from which you can get an overall idea of the Yangtze River cruie, the dam project, and how that area will be flooded), Panda Zoo (to see the lovely panda bears); take a walk to Ciqikou old street where you can see local shops, old wooden houses, old pier, tea house, local Sichuan street performance and so on.

Arrive Yichang at 12:00am. Be met in the pier and be transferred to the bus station for your bus to Yichang airport for flight to Shanghai;  Once arrived in Shanghai, be met and be transferred to your hotel.  Watch Shanghai Acrobats at night.

Be transferred to Suzhou. A cruise on the Grand Canal, then visit the Pan Gate, Lingering Garden, The No.1 Silk Factory.
 
Grand Canal: The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in world.Cruising on the Canal,you can see the local people's life.
 
Pan Gate: Pan Gate is an ancient city gate with land and water entrances. One gate with land and water entrances was quite typical in ancient China. Pan Gate is the only one left.
 
Lingering Garden: Shouzhou is famouse for its the Gardens. Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Linging in the garden you would marver this unique architecture art.
 
The No.1 Silk Factory: Suzhou is also famous for its silk production. In the factory you can see how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth.

Suzhou / Shanghai
Transfer via: Train
30 minutes Rickshaw ride from your hotel to Ouyuan Garden through the old part of the town. Watch the local opera under the Pavilion of the Ou garden while taking a cup of tea. Than Cruise on the ancient cannel which was made 1500year ago.
 
Afternoon tour to ancient Town of Luzhi before taking afternoon train to Shanghai.

Visit Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, Yuyuan Market & the Bund.
 
Shanghai Museum: The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy.
 
Yu Garden: It is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history. Infront of the garden, there is a market called Yu Market.
 
The Bund: the former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period.

Shanghai / Huangshan
Transfer via: Flight
Flight to Huangshan city, upon arrival Tunxi, be met and be transferred to your hotel in Huangshan.
 
Day 23 (B, L, )
Huangshan / Mountain
Transfer via: Cable Car
Morning drive to the foot of the Huangshan Mountain, Take cable car to the top of Huangshan, overnight in Xihai hotel on top of Huangshan; tour to Jade valley and other different peaks; overnight on top of the mountain tonight.
 
Mt. Huangshan: known as "the loveliest mountain in China", famous for its magnificent scenery made up of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of clouds.

Ride down to the foot of the mountain, lunch at the foot of mountain, afternoon tour to Yixian, visiting Hongcun Village (place where the film "Crouching Tiger" was filmed and Xidi (famous for ancient Anhui folk archtechture).

Drive to Hangzhou today and rest in the afternoon.

have city tours to West Lake, Lingyin Temple, Feilai Peak, Six Harmonies Pagoda & Tea Plantation Farm.
 
West Lake: Lying on the west edge of Hangzhou city, West Lake is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China.
 
Feilai Peak: situated in front of Lingyin Temple, is famous for its more than 470 stone carvings of Buddhist figures, which dated from the 10th to 14th centuries.
 
Lingyin Temple: Lingyin Temple is one of the ten most famous ancient Buddhist temples in China. It also houses various Buddhist literature and treasures.
 
Six Harmony Pagoda£ºHighly erected by the Qiantang River and to the south of the West Lake, it is a perfect symbol of brick-and-wood structure built in the ancient China. It was first built in 970 AD in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). The name "six harmonies" comes from the six Buddhist ordinances, meaning "harmonies of the heaven, earth, east, west, south and north".

Hangzhou / Guilin

Fly to Guilin, visit Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill. Take evening cruise on Li River and surrounding lakes.
 
Visit the Reed Flute Cave. Aside ten minutes drive (half hour bike ride) from downtown, the cave is one of the largest known examples of what each tropical karst cone conceals within it. The script writers and set designers for Star Trek would have a field day in this cavernous underground stalactite/stalagmite maze-style theater. The dropping water is rich and the dripstones are not only in various types but also in big size, displaying a wonderful cave world. This cave was called "The Art Gallery of Mother Nature". Colored fluorescent lights which cast shadows and illuminate shapes of imaginary animals, fruits and vegetables complete the unworldly effect.
 
Following with Elephant Trunk Hill. It is located on the west bank of the Li River by a small branch called Peach blossom River, and resembles a huge elephant standing on the bank of the river, sucking up water with its long trunk. The trunk is particularly striking and lifelike when viewed either nearby or afar. A circular foot cave called Shui Yue Dong (Moon-In-the Water Cave) separates the trunk and the body. A 3-story Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A.D) brick pagoda rises from the top of hill.
 
Day 28 (B, L, )
Guilin / Yangshuo
Transfer via: Cruise
After the breakfast you take bus to Dock. You will start your Li River Cruise from here. The total Journey is around 30 Kilometers and takes 4 hours. On the way you will see the most beautiful landscapes and pass throw the local villages.   
 
Later this day you will arrive at Yangshuo. You can also choose to stay in the town, stroll around the local market, witness the daily activities of local society. Or you might enjoy a class for Chinese Tachi in Yangshuo at sunset.
 
 Yangshuo, the natural scenery features unique karst hills, crystal water, exquisite stones and intricate caves as well as a cultural historic heritage and folks of diverse customs.   At night, have fun on the West Street, don't drink too much to miss tomorrow's program.  Or you can go to watch the envening show - Impression Liu Sanjie.   The Cormorant fishing show at night is also something new (optional).
 
Day 29 (B, L, )
Yangshuo
Morning bike ride to discover the rice paddies.  Climb Moon Hill, water rafting by bamboo boat on Yulong River.
 
From 6:30 to 9:00 am, cycle for 2 hours from Yangshuo to Aishan Village in the early morning, you will arrive at the Licun village and then you continue you bike ride on the trails to Yangshuo. On the way for cycling through the old road via Aishan. We will pass by picturesque villages, tucked among subtropical plants and stretched in between rice paddies. The ride one way covers 13 kilometers on well paved road, and should take up about one hour.
 
After a hot shower in the hotel, you will be transfer by company vehicle to take bamboo rafting for two hours on Yulong River through limestone mountains and trails.
 
Leisure in the afternoon.  For those with more energy, you may climb 819 steps to get to the top of the Moon Hill to a get a bird's-eye-view of the surrounding hills and have a close look of the "Moon?which used to be the underground river cannel.

Fly to Guangzhou and connect your train to Hong Kong in the afternoon, if time permits, tour to sunyesen memoria hall, chen family temple, free market, factory and shopping before taking train to Hong Kong.
