Arriving in Guilin in the evening, pick up by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel.    

Day 2   (B,  L,  )

Guilin / Yangdi  /  Xingping / Hebao Mountain

Drive 2 hours to Yangdi, a small fishing villag. Your hiking tour finishs here. Three hours hiking to Hebao Mountain. 

Walk along Li River to Yangdi. Along the way you witness scenes that transported us back in time; farmers walking their Water Buffalo along the river's edge, men casting their hand sew nets out onto the water in hopes of catching fish, simple watercraft made of bamboo poles tied together. Every turn of the boat brought an endless procession of the dramatic rock formations.  Stay in a local family hostel at the foot of Hebao Mountain.

Day 3  (B,  L,    )

Hebao Mountain  /  Yangshuo

Get up 4:00 to climb up Mt. Hebao to enjoy the sunshine.  After having the breakfast continue hike for two more hours to Xingping.  Take public bus to Yangshuo.

Yangshuo  /  Jiuwu Village

Starting early in the morning, we head north of Guilin to Longsheng County, where our hike will begin. The trail traverses terraced slopes and bamboo forests and connects several Zhuang and Yao minority villages in the area. The solitude and calm of the trail are overwhelming, and at times the only sounds we hear come from a babbling brook or chirping bird. The hike ends in Jiuwu Village, literally "old house" village, where we overnight with a local family and experience their generous hospitality. Stay overnight at Local village's House.

Jiuwu Village  /  Tiantou Village

From Jiuwu, we continue our journey to Tiantou Village, passing through several other minority villages on the way. Many of these villages are very remote, and are only accessible via the trail we are following. Therefore, we can experience a side of China that, even today, has hardly been touched by the many changes sweeping through other parts of the country. Looking out over the terraced landscape, it is hard to imagine how long it took to carve the mountains into the beautiful scene unfolding around us. Stay overnight at Local village's House.

Tiantou Village  /  Ping'an Village

Today, we finish the last portion of our hike and end in Ping'an Village. The village is nestled high on the mountain slope, and overlooks a breathtaking view of a wide expanse of carefully carved fields. After three long days on the trail, the comforts of Ping'an are well deserved. In the evening, we can enjoy the sunset from an outdoor patio overlooking the valley. 

Visit Zhuang and Yao Minority tribes villages and some families if you like. Those ethnic girls dressed in their own colors may have a demonstration on hair combing or singing and dancing upon guests' request and gratuity. Clients will enjoy the beautiful terrace rice fields after getting to the summit of Longji (Dragon's backbone).The terrace rice fields were first built in the Yuan Dynasty ( about 800 years ago) and completed in the Qing dynasty as the crystallization of the wisdom and labor of the Zhuang people.

The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop, with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m. The coiling line spirals up from the mountain foot to the top, making the mountain looks like huge snail seen afar. Enjoy the hiking tours around Pingan village for the wonderful views.

Longji / Sanjiang
Transfer via: Private car
Depart from the hotel in the morning & drive to Sanjiang. 

Drive(2 & half hours) to Sanjiang County.  Free at leisure to explore the old town. (Sometimes it might takes longer because the mountain road between Longsheng to Sanjiang is always under construction, passengers need to be patient for long time driving on the bumping road)

Sanjaing/Heli/Tangan / Zhaoxing

Visit the Chengyang Shelter Bridge in the morning. Then to be transferred to the Heli Village, pass Renhe Bridage,which is a beautiful shelter bridage built in a mixture of Dong and Han architecture. Keep driving to southeastern area of Guizhou province. Visit the Tangan & Zhaoxing Dong ethnic villages.   Stay overnight in Zhaoxing, the biggest Dong Village in the world.

Chengyang Roof Covered Bridge: One of the most beautiful & well protected shelter bridges in China,constructed in 1911,finished in 1925. The bridge is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide, 10.6 meters high, with beautiful shelters construction on it. It is supported by five big stone piers and the whole bridge is made of wood with all mortise and tenon joints, without any iron nails.

Renhe Bridage: Construted in 1883. It is painted with beautifu pictures of history and scenery. The entire bridge is made of wood with all mortise and tenon joints, without any iron nails.

Tangan Dong Ethnic Village: Sporsored by Government of Norway, a good example of Ecologic Museum of Dong Ethni Culture.  Its unique irrigation and drinking water system has been skillfully designed.

Zhaoxing/Congjiang/Basha/Xindi/Zengcong / Rongjiang
Transfer via: Private car 
Drive to Congjiang County. Visit the special Basha Miao Ethnic groups village. Then keep driving via Xindi Town to Zengcong Town to visit the oldest & biggest Zengcong Drum Tower. Stay overnight at Rongjiang County.

Basha Miao Ethnic village: It is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village. The villagers remain their unique tradition since Qing Dynasty( about 2200 years ago). All the men comb their hair with a very special hair, caring a knife on the waist and a traditional fowling piece, dressing like an accient Chinese warrior.

Zengcong Drum Tower: It is the oldest and the most beautiful drum tower in China. It is 25 meters high with 13 stories. It was built in 1672. You can walk to the top for the beautiful views.

Rongjiang County: It is an old town with the history of over 2000 years. It is holly land where the Dong & Miao ethinc nationalities originated.

Rongjiang/Chejiang/Sandu/Danzhai/Qingman / Kaili
Transfer via: Private car
Depart early in the morning to visit the Chejiang Banyan trees and Dong Ethnic Village by the river. . Then keep driving via Sandu,Danzhai,enjoy the beautiful view on the way. Arrive at special mini skirt Qingman Miao ethnic village in the afternoon. To be transferred to the Kaili city.

Kaili is a 2500 years old city with the population of 450,000, 65% is the Miao Ethnic groups among of that.

Kaili/Langde/Nanhua/Kaili

Visit the Kaili Ethnic Minorities Musem, Langde & Nanhua Miao ethnic groups villages.

Kaili Ethnic Minorities Musem: You will have the chance to visit all ethnic minorities histories, culture in Guigzhou province.

Langde Miao ethnic group village: An old village with beautiful traditional Miao style houses, the village is named " Village of China Civil Arts".

Nanhua Miao ethnic group village: Another beautiful village, famous for its special tradition. This Miao ethnic group used to be call "Long Skirt Miao group" in the old time.

Leave from your hotel & transfer to Guiyang airport, take the flight Guiyang/Beijing.  

Arrive at Beijjing, transfer to the hotel.  Free time on Wangfujing Street by yourself.

Visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace.

Tian'anmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.

Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.

The Summer Palaceis the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years. With its cool features - water, gardens and hills, it was the palace of choice for vacationing emperors and Dowager Empresses. It was badly damaged by Anglo-French troops during the Second Opium War (1860) and its restoration became a pet project of Empress Dowager Cixi, the last of the Qing dynasty rulers.

Drive to Great Wall at Jinshanling section. Hike from Jinshanlin to Simatai today (12km up and down). Today we will do our camping at Simatai Great Wall.

Simatai located at the boundary between Gubeikou Town,130 km away from Beijing, and Luanping County,Hebei Province.  The 19-kilometre-long wall of Simatai began its construction in 1368. Architectually, the wall is delicately structured and unique in design. The 35 watchtowers there are original structured and varied in form. The Tower for Viewing the Capital at an elevation of 986 metres above sea level, is constructed on sheer precipices. This part of the great wall is charictorized as astonish,Unusual and Vicious.

The Great Wall at the Jinshanling is located at the boundary between Miyun County, Beijing and Luanping County, Hebei province. It has been a strategic place contested by militarists since ancient times. The 25-kilometer-long Jinshan Ridge section has as many as 150 watchtowers and battlements,terraces and turrets. Architecturally, there are towers of various shapes--square, circular, oblate and cornered, and roofs of different strctures --flat and vaulted.

Beijing

The Great Wall at Gubeikou is situated in the northeast of Minyun County of Beijing.It has been a communication center of strategic importance since ancient times. Beikou city was built in 1378 and was named Yingcheng. The surrounding wall runs over 2 kilometres with one gate on each of its three sides-east,north and south. Lying across the Caohe River with three water gates underground,the Great Wall at the Gubeikou Pass presents a rare magnificent view.

Beijing / Depart
Visit Temple of Heaven and Panjiayuan Market.  Transfer to airport for next destination.

The Temple of Heaven, founded in the first half of the 15th century, is a dignified complex of fine cult buildings set in gardens and surrounded by historic pine woods. In its overall layout and that of its individual buildings, it symbolizes the relationship between earth and heaven. The human world and God's world, which stands at the heart of Chinese cosmogony, and also the special role played by the emperors within that relationship.

Later today, you will be transferred to airport for flight to sweet home.
