Itinerary:
Day1: Nanning-Daxin (L)
Start from Nanning in the morning before 8 clock. Ride about 85 km and arrive at Longhu Mountain.Visit Longhu(Dragon and Tiger) Gorge on the way.Aferter lunch,ride on your bike to Daxin County along the G324 Road.The distance is about 67km.
Daxin County is under the jurisdiction of Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and shares over 40 kilometers of its southern border with Vietnam. Formerly an undeveloped area, although with its rich manganese resources, now it is famous for its Detian Scenic Zone, which boasts a variety of fantastic landscapes.
Day2: Daxin-Shuolong Town(B,L)
Leave Daxin County after breakfast.Cycling along the beautiful border road to Shuolong District. The distance is about 60km. You will visit Heishui River, Shatun Waterfall.
This is a beautiful little town on the Sino-Vietnam border. There is a passage gate between the two countries, devided by the clear Guichun River. By the both banks of the Guichun River, the little town clothes with the pinnacle mountains and solitary hills.The little town is inhabitted by the Zhuang people, among them there are some Vietnamese.
Day3: Shuolong-Detian Waterfall (B,L)
visit the world's second largest trans-border waterfall-Detian Waterfall. Ride to the Mingshi Countryside, take the bamboo boat down the picturistic Mingshi River.CAMP or Villager's Lodgement at Mingshi Village.
The Detian Waterfall lies in a subtropical area along the Sino-Vietnamese border, and is the second largest transnational waterfall in the world.
Day4: Mingshi Country-Jinlong Town (B,L)
After breakfast in our villager's house, we will take the oldest road in Guangxi which was first built in Qing Dynasty for the border military purpose but now is well beaten, and ride onto Longzhou. The local people call the section of the road "100 Miles' Picturistic Gallery". It really could be one of your highlights. The reservoir in Jinlong Town is one of the local holiday resort. On approaching Longzhou County, a twisted and turned river will come into your sight.That is the famous Zuojiang River deriving from northern Vietnam.
Day5: Longzhou County-Downtown Tour (B,L)
Today will be the most relaxing day of the tour. Longzhou is an old town in Guangxi. The very first French Consulate was built here in 1887 which is still well preserved now, and the Fu Bo Temple, the Old Lodgement Of Genaral Liu Yongfu who used to help the Vietnamese against the French troups in the 19th. century, the Southern Border Great Wall built in the last Qing Dynasty by General Su Yuan-chun and his Nine Dragons Palace.We will pay a visist to the town market by the Zuojiang River.
Day6: Longzhou County-Pingxiang City (B,L)
The distance between Longzhou County and Pingxiang City is just 50km only, and the road is good and smooth enough to ride. Between these tow place there's an old temple built in 19th. century also by the Qing Genaral Su Yuanchun. After arriving at Pingxiang City, we first check in the hotel and take a break. Then we will pay a visit to the local market where you will see thousands of Sino-Vietnam trade products as this is the nearest city in Guangxi to Vietnam. Pingxiang City is the first formal city port into Vietnam ever since 1958.
Day7: Pingxiang City (B,L)
Pingxiang has been an important place of border defence since ancient times. Sprawling along the border is a long chain of undulating mountains, where many check points have been set up. Besides Friendship Pass, there are several other passes, including the Ping'er, Jiao'ai and You'ai passes, as well as defence walls and battlements. These passes not only have been installations of national defence and symbols of sovereignty, but also have been serving as trading stations
Day8: Pingxiang City-Ningming County (B,L)
Visit the Frienship Pass on the border which waw built in 19th. century for the military purpose. It is one of the most famous nine passes in China ,namely Jia Yu Pass in Gansu, Shan Hai Pass etc.Further we will visit the Pu Zhai Sino-Vietnam Trade Market. After lunch in Pingxiang City, we will take the G322 Road northward to Ningming. Hotel accommodation in the Huashan Zhuang Village, where an evening show will be offered at night.
Day9: Ningming County-Chongzuo City (B,L)
This morning, we will take a boat down the Ming Jiang River to the famous
Huashan Cliff Painting Historic Sight which is located by the Zuojiang River side.Further on, we still take the boat back to Huashan Zhuang Village. Ride onto Chongzuo City by the short-cut road which used be a military passageway in the 19th century. Visit the Chongzuo Stone Forest Garden and the Inclined Pagoda. Chonzuo is now one of the 14 administrative municipal cities in Guangxi region.
Huashan Cliff Painting is engraved on a lime cliff along the riverbanks of the Longjiang and Mingjiang rivers. Altogether there are 60 paintings depicting 1,770 human figures engraved by the ancient Zhuang people. The largest painting is 44 meters wide and 170 meters long with bright umber colors and uninhibited lines. Altogether there are 1,300 human figures; the tallest (which is rare for its large scale), reaches three meters, and the smallest, 30 cm. Some of the figures resemble warriors, while others are like chiefs and generals, brandishing swords and riding steeds; some are dancing. There are also bronze drums, dogs and horses among them. The themes are of great value to the study of ancient local cultures.
Day10: Chongzuo-Nanning (B,L)
After breakfast, we will leave Chongzuo City and ride all the way back to Nanning. A lunch will be arranged in a town named Dong Men on the way.
