Day 1
Arrival / Lijiang
Arrive at Lijiang airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to hotel. Visit the old town of Lijiang, escorted tour to Square Street.
The Lijiang ancient town of Dayan: The town was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural heritages in 1997.
Day 2 (B, L )
Lijiang / Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge
At 6:00, drive to Qiaotou Town, it takes 2 hours on the trip. Start cycling into the gorge, the road is not paved, the altitude is about 2000 m above see level, you will bike about 12 km to Walnut Grove which is a tranquil village in the middle part of the gorge, overnight in Woody's House.
While you are cycling in the gorge, our support team will take all of your luggaes and meet you at Woody's House, the hostel where you will stay for tonight, so you can fresh up with clean T-shirt and warm shocks! You need to carry two bottles of water, chocalate and camera on the trip.
The Tiger Leaping Gorge: one of the world's four great gorges - is located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County, is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the globe.
 Day 3 (B, L, )
Tiger Leaping Gorge / Haba village
Trekking visit the valley for 2 hours, 20 km cycle trip to Haba village
In the early morning, 1 hour walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River, worship the dangerours shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River. 1 more hour to climb up the gorge, have a tea break after the exciting voyage.
Continue your bike ride through trails for about 20 km to Haba village, out of the gorge, the road start going up.
Day 4 (B, L, )
Haba / Sanba / Zhongdian
Cycle about 18 km to Sanba village, visit the Baishui Terrace, the sacred land of Naxi Dongba Culture. Your driver will pick you up and drive to Zhongdian, the gateway to Tibet. Zhongdian has only been opened to tourists since 1992. Experience authentic Tibetan culture in this mountainous region. Overnight in Zhongdian(3300 m above sea level).
Day 5 (B, L )
 Zhongdian / Wongshui village
Today is a tough day, you will ride about 105 km to Wongshui village which is 3700 m above sea level, on the way, the road will go through a mountain pass which is 4300 m high. But the scenery is very beautiful. Now you know why this Tibetan area is called Shangri-la.
Stay overnight with a Tibetan family.
Day 6 (B, L )
Wongshui / Zhongdian
Trek about 6 km into the Shangri-la Canyon, sightseeing in the canyon, after having lunch in a Tibetan family, trek out the canyon and drive back to Zhongdian.
Day 7 (B, L, )
Zhongdian
Join in the morning class at Songtseling Lamasery. Cycle to Napa Lake in the afternoon.
 Songzanlin Monastery, or 'Little Potala' as it is affectionately known, is a spiritual place that invites you to discover the mystery and traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Songzanlin Monastery is the Yellow Hat School of Tibetan Buddhism is practiced. This large center, base for 1200 monks before the destruction of Tibet in the 1950s, is experiencing a significant rebirth.
In the afternoon, cycle about 8 km to a beautiful alpine lake, Napa Lake, in the morning, the lake is a nature reserve for birds, especially the black-necked crane.
Day 8 (B, D )
Zhongdian / Kunming
Transfer via: air
Free time in Zhongdian until afternoon flight to Kunming. Upon arrival, be met & transferred to your hotel in Stone Forest, about 90 km from Downtown Kunming, enjoy the beautiful surroundings while the crowd of visitors do not disturb you. The night of Stone forest is so unique, which you can not find in other place of the world.
Stone Forest is located in Shilin County, 89 kilometers from Kunming. The area, covering 350 square kilometers, is the highest karst terrain in the world and a national scenic area in China.
Day 9 (B, L )
Kunming/Depart
Morning visit to Flower Market, Golden Temple. Transfer to airport for return flight. Check the flight available to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou.

Notice: The raining season in Zhongdian and Lijiang is from late May to early September, roads might be block by mountain slide and falling rocks. The best traveling time for our trekking tour is from October to April.
In case of bad weather condition or road difficulties, the original itinerary which has been confirmed by us might has to be changed accordingly by our local tour guide, or even the whole trip could be cancelled eventually. Please trust the judgement of our expienced tour guide, they are the expert and have escored trekking trips for years.
